Karen Clothier Design & Interiors was founded in 2018 in Scottsdale, Arizona. In 2022, I returned to my hometown of Wichita, Kansas, where I continue to serve clients locally and in surrounding areas—including Kansas City and Scottsdale. With flexibility and a love for travel, I’m proud to work with homeowners across multiple regions, creating spaces that feel personal, timeless, and inspired.
My journey into interior design began long before my formal training. Over the years, I remodeled every home I owned, falling in love with the process of transforming spaces. That passion led me to the American Institute of Interior Design in Fountain Hills, Arizona, where I graduated with honors. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Business from Oklahoma State University. Before pursuing design full time, I spent years in the banking industry—an experience that taught me the importance of professionalism, organization, and clear communication.
I approach every project with an eye for detail, a love of beautiful furnishings and finishes, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Whether designing a full renovation or refreshing a single space, I work closely with each client to create interiors that reflect their lifestyle, personality, and vision. My personal style is classic and warm with touches of transitional design, but I love working in a variety of aesthetics to bring each client's dream to life.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me spending time with my family, friends, and especially my eight amazing grandchildren. I love to travel and embrace new experiences—always open to the next adventure and fresh inspiration.
I believe that "The key to great design is capturing the spirit of the client and the essence of the space."
